Auto Transport Company - Making An Informed Decision

Time and time again people are left holding the bag because they didn't read the fine print of a contract before hiring the services an auto transport company. And unfortunately although it may not be 100% of the consumers fault when your car is delivered and your staring at bill you had no idea would be so high, or there were added expenses incurred you weren't expecting. Unfortunately, you really have no choice but to pay it if you want your car unloaded from the carrier.

So with that said...I have comprised a few tips that will assist you when choosing a company so you wont be taken advantage of, and the transition of moving your car from one destination to another will be a pleasant, positive experience and not a negative one.

Auto Transport Company - Absolute Must Know Answers:

You must make sure that the auto shipping company has proper insurance coverage. Unless you provide additional insurance yourself, this will be the only way to protect your vehicle from any possible unforseen misfortunes. By having the proper insurance, in the event that there's any damages to your car, the company transporting your car or your own insurance company will compensate you for your entire loss.

Secondly, the company of your choice must have a federal car shipping license. Without this license a company does not have the right from the government to carry on the service of an auto transport company. Always require proof that the company transporting your car does have an up to date federally approved shipping license.

Do not base your decision on price alone when hiring a company to transport your car. There's a reason some companies have been in business for a while and some are new to the scene or so it may seem. Meaning you never know when hiring an auto transport company that's brand new if they just re-opened a business under a new name because negative reports and poor consumer reviews forced them to shut their doors down under a previous company name.
